Perfection is an Illusion

Quit trying to be perfect. Perfection is an illusion that you’ll spend the rest of your life chasing. It’s more impactful to remain authentic and inspire people by showing them how you deal with your imperfections and the hard times that every person, at some point, encounters. If you spend the rest of your life perfecting things, you’re not going to get anywhere fast. Often times I battle with the notion that I have to be perfect, I have to have every detail worked out before I launch a new idea into the world—it’s something I struggle with daily. But what I’ve found is if I put good into the world and I give it my best, I learn and grow far more than in any instance I’ve tried to be perfect. I put myself out there and risk vulnerability in order to grow because after all, we’re Only Human.
